Our Mission

At The Firm Foundation, guided by the wisdom of 1 Peter 5:10, our mission is to empower and uplift people within the BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color) community through a journey of resilience, restoration, and unwavering faith. With a steadfast commitment to providing free access to mental health counseling, we strive to be a beacon of hope, fostering a culture of grace, compassion, and spiritual growth. We believe that, through our endeavors, our clients will experience the grace of God, find renewed strength, and ultimately be restored to their full potential. In every interaction, we aim to exemplify the principles of 1 Peter 5:10, embracing the promise that 'after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you.

Black Americans are less likely to receive mental health treatment than white Americans. According to the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), only 16.9% of black adults with mental illness received treatment compared to 19.3% of white adults.In 2020, 10.4% of Black adults in the U.S. had no form of health insurance.

Studies show that many BIPOC individuals do not seek mental health services due to the lack of providers who understand their cultural backgrounds.​ 40% of Black or Hispanic adults report feeling that their mental health provider does not understand their cultural background, according to Mental Health America.

At The Firm Foundation Organization Inc., we are committed to supporting the mental health and well-being of the BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color) community.

We are dedicated to serving people of faith by offering compassionate mental health support that integrates spiritual values and encourages emotional healing through the lens of faith.

We provide free mental health services to BIPOC individuals who cannot afford counseling, ensuring access to the care and support they deserve.
